  • I've been watching for Father Bradley's obituary and found a brief one from the funeral home.  I cannot find that an obituary was published in the Spokesman Review.  Services were private, I wonder if a traditional requiem Mass was said (or hopefully sung).  With what I assume was perhaps a strained relationship with the diocese I was happy to see that memorials were asked for Immaculate Heart Retreat House or the Cathedral.

I'm guessing he may have been buried at Holy Cross Cemetery in Spokane.  I need to visit Spokane sometime this spring and will be visiting my parents' and many other relatives graves at Holy Cross and will inquire, and can say a prayer at his grave also.

I don't recall that he ever denied the accusations, only that he said she seduced him, but I don't have time to find good sources.
Pure baloney!  We knew him well.  He said no such thing.  He most certainly denied the accusations, and never told any of us that she seduced him!  We ate many meals with him, and talked with him at length.  He was our confessor to the end and gave us Communion monthly.

BTW, I think the year of his ordination was 1957.

I was at Holy Cross Cemetery in Spokane today and Father Theodore Bradley is buried there.  I was told that he had bought a plot adjacent to the diocesan clergy section.  A permanent marker has not been set but the temporary marker the cemetery provides prefaces his name with Fr. (he had been removed from ministry by the diocese).
