Whether a republic or monarchy etc, what matters is Christ in the hearts of man, that is why the American Revolution did not end in a total nightmare while the French Revolution who copied the exact same recipe ended in a total nightmare that they have never recovered from that... because the French thought they could do away with Christ along with the King, the builders rejected the cornerstone in Matthew 21:42. Even Napoleon Bonaparte, with glorious French history like Charlemagne, would pointedly reject that by placing the crown on his own head and chase after doomed figures like Julius Caesar instead. 

Much of that period was caught up too much on the 'system' and not enough on the reign of Christ in the hearts of man, that's why Portugal on track to end up worse than even the Bolshevik Revolution, did not end like that thanks to Our Lady of Fatima, there is a common theme with both the French Revolution and the Bolshevik Revolution, both of those had a cινιℓ ωαr where Christians instead of focusing on the reign of Christ in the hearts of man were too focused on the system and these Monarchs had flaws so the revolutionaries were not entirely wrong on everything, but they rejected the cornerstone, and many counter revolutionaries were too focused on the system and not enough on the reign of Christ in the hearts of man IMO.

As said in other threads, it wasn't the Vendee that ended the reign of terror, in fact they spurred it on, it was the Martyrs of Compiegne that ended the reign of terror and resulted in the blood thirsty tyrant Robespierre being executed. The Vendee, despite their best efforts did not accomplish that, but the Martyrs of Compiegne did.

Unlike Alexander Solzhenitsyn's 'pacifism' conclusion though, there is a time and place for everything, for Constantine the Great received the Chi-Rho and King Louis XIV was given the Sacred Heart as a military standard (which he rejected), but it's not for lay Christians to take matters into their own hands when legitimate authority spurns such graces.

Yes, but I think Dr Carson's comments also address the issue of whether Americans can/will be allowed to continue to say/write things such as "Jesus is Lord" (ie. preach the Faith) in a hαɾɾιs administration vs a Trump administration.  This is a very real concern.

These two pro-life young men were mocked, censored, pushed and shoved, and thrown out of hαɾɾιs' rally. I posted this in another thread, but here is their interview on Fox:

I mean, we've literally been living it, was twitter held accountable for just de-platforming a sitting President and essentially cutting out his tongue? (at the time he was calling for protestors to obey law enforcement and to leave, very odd if your goal was to stop Jan 6 to ban Trump at that moment, unless of course they wanted Jan 6 to happen) That was Trump's platform and it was built on the premise that Twitter was a platform not a publisher, and if they so boldly did that to Trump, a sitting President... what do you think they've been doing quietly to everyone else? Shadow banning, de-boosting etc etc. You can speak, but nobody will hear you! Freedom of speech is not freedom of reach! What good is the freedom to speak if nobody can hear what you have to say?

I mean, there is so much on this front that to say such a thing when I have personally seen it so badly and so boldly so many times over many years on so many fronts... this is impossible unless you are a very dishonest person who very clearly has an ulterior motive! So dishonest... so foolish!

The first person they will shut down is Elon Musk (something they've already tried to do numerous times now, first the advertising and ability to even function monetarily)... precisely why Elon Musk rightly recognises the importance of this election, then when they come for the rest of us we will have no way to defend ourselves... taking down someone like Elon Musk will simply be the canary in the coal mine, then others accuse Elon Musk of already curtailing free speech in the EU not realizing that he has to obey the laws of respective Countries to even operate, a very tricky minefield when it comes to these wicked, wicked snakes using every tactic and trick in the book to take away peoples right to speak.
