Had a very pleasant surprise before the film. I ran into Fathers Hewko and Pfeiffer, and their seminarians :) Met Rick DeLano, and Katheryne Thomas, the Director, also.

It was very good. I can't wait until it comes up here so more people can go see it. There are some really good clips on their Facebook page that you can look at. The Stonehenge video, and the temperature disturbance ones are awesome.

It was very convincing with the evidence that was provided that earth, is indeed, the center of the universe.

When Rick showed the private screening a few months ago at OLHC in Garden Grove CA, he was pleased to hear our comments that the Stonehenge sequence was far too short, and he said that was an early version and they were working on expanding the sequence.  From what you say it sounds like they did just that.

The very limited look we had at the new discoveries of how the columns, layout and alignment with astronomical bearings left me with my eyes wide open as well as my mouth.  I was aghast.  For centuries astronomers have been hypothesizing about what the various features of Stonehenge were for, and now we see that even 4,000 or so years have not left us with an unusable relic but rather a most informative monument telling us what the stars in the sky looked like thousands of years ago.  They looked just the same as they do today.  So that kind of puts a heavy load on the prospect that whatever movement is going on among the heavenly bodies, it all has a huge bearing on the location of the earth with respect to every other clump of dirt in the sky.

I'd be interested to hear what the seminarians have to say about The Principle.

Very interesting Neil. But as you said some time ago, a reasonable knowledge of the historic conflict between geocentrism and heliocentrism - such as we on CIF can read on THE EARTHMOVERS thread - is essential to really get an understanding of the importance of the Cosmic Microwave Radiation results as shown in this movie.

As regards the movie's use of Stonehenge, well we in Ireland have a better proof for God's control on the universe.

    http://www.newgrange.com/ from which I quote the following;

    Winter Solstice
Newgrange is best known for the illumination of its passage and chamber by the winter solstice sun. Above the entrance to the passage at Newgrange there is a opening called a roof-box. This baffling orifice held a great surprise for those who unearthed it. Its purpose is to allow sunlight to penetrate the chamber on the shortest days of the year, around December 21, the winter solstice.
At dawn, from December 19th to 23rd, a narrow beam of light penetrates the roof-box and reaches the floor of the chamber, gradually extending to the rear of the chamber. As the sun rises higher, the beam widens within the chamber so that the whole room becomes dramatically illuminated. This event lasts for 17 minutes, beginning around 9am.

The accuracy of Newgrange as a time-telling device is remarkable when one considers that it was built 500 years before the Great Pyramids and more than 1,000 years before Stonehenge. The intent of its builders was undoubtedly to mark the beginning of the new year. In addition, it may have served as a powerful symbol of the victory of life over death.

Now imagine Newton's 72,000MPH orbiting spinning earth with its supposed perturbations allowing such accuracy that gets the earth exactly to a place where only at a certain time, once a year, its light can enter through a small opening and light up the chamber over a few hours.
No, only a stationary earth and an unbelievable path for the sun as it brings the seasons to the earth each year can yield such natural-miracles.

  • Just found another one in Turkey too!

If you ignore the fluff about how old it is, and the pagan worship crap, you'll see it looks a lot like Stonehenge and it serves the same purpose, I bet. :)

Doesn't bode well that with such a limited showing they're having to give tickets away to fill the place up.

How well did you expect it to bode?

In what reality was a "docuмentary" like this ever going to go on general release?

I suspect it will by-pass DVD and go straight to YouTube.

I don't expect it to get any broad theatrical release.  That's my point.  I would rather have them just come to terms with that and release it to DVD.  Otherwise, it might be another year of trying to get into theaters before the broader population can see it.

"The Principle" is already close to broad theatrical release. It takes time and they have God on there side. I foresee nothing less than a broad theatrical release for "The Principle" in the near future. The dominos are all lined up in their favor.

    WE ARE ON THE MAP!

    THANKS CHICAGO!

“The Principle” opened to a resounding $8,622 estimated opening weekend in Chicago at the Marcus Addison Theater.

Sold out shows and blown away audiences were the order of the day throughout the weekend, and one thing is now clear:

“The Principle” is bound for expansion, with a new theater in Chicago being added, and expansion to other cities following shortly thereafter.
