  • Apocalypse 20:4 suggests the mark of the beast may have been around for a long time. Maybe it is just a consenting to grave sin. Perhaps the mark on the hand is the act of committing grave sin, and the mark on the forehead is committing the sins in thought. I wonder what the 666 part means then.
"Be you therefore perfect, as also your heavenly Father is perfect."
"Seek first the kingdom of Heaven..."
"Every idle word that men shall speak, they shall render an account for it in the day of judgment"

That's one way of reading it, as sins of act and thought. But it will also manifest as a visible mark associated with worship of the image of the Beast, aka the Antichrist.

Some have pointed at the Tefillin of тαℓмυdic Jєωs as one such type. Note its placement on the forehead and hand.

"Be not therefore solicitous for tomorrow; for the morrow will be solicitous for itself. Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof." [Matt. 6:34]

"In all thy works remember thy last end, and thou shalt never sin." [Ecclus. 7:40]

"A holy man continueth in wisdom as the sun: but a fool is changed as the moon." [Ecclus. 27:12]
