Neo-modernism and liberalism didn't just pop out of nowhere in 1962. Right now we are using the 1958 edition of Life In Christ for our homeschool religion course, and even though, all in all, it is safely traditional and orthodox, there is the occasional pothole around which you have to maneuver. Its section on baptism of desire (not going to get into any BOD debates here, I'm of two minds on the matter) vaguely hints of Francis's recent universalist comments.
