What is patience, waiting for one heretical group to somehow convert another heretical group back to tradition? Pretending as if Freemasonic, Jєωιѕн and Modernist jackals are going to have a change of heart because of Bp. Fellay and Bp. Williamson's good-cop bad-cop routine? And if SSPX did "convert" Rome -- which they can't, as I said, but I'm speaking hypothetically -- how would they be able to explain that this group taught heresies from the Magisterium for decades?
Ironically, the very premise on which SSPX is built, that the "Church" needs correcting, proves the sedevacantists are right! The very premise of "converting" the Pope and what is taken by the world to be the Catholic Church is a ludicrous farrago. As if the spotless bride of Christ is some jalopy in need of a tune-up.
This right here, the SSPX's very goal of "correcting" the Church, is to admit that the VII Church is not the Church, since the real Church never stands in need of any doctrinal correction. Members of the Church sometimes need moral correction, like in the Middle Ages; and the Church sometimes needs doctrinal firming up, like at the time of the Counter-Reformation. But to actually say that it was teaching error and heresy for decades that must be corrected? That would be to admit the Church had failed. More irony -- sedes are the ones who are said to believe the Church has failed, yet at SSPX they apparently believe the Church can totally defect and sell out the entire world, and somehow this isn't failure?
Who exactly appointed Bishop Fellay and Abp. Lefebvre as the spokesmen for "tradition" anyway? And how long do you wait, decades and decades?
That's not patience, that's denial. And this denial of reality even among those who claim to be traditional Catholics is surely precisely the reason why God must be furious.
