    • "When John Paul II Made a Urine Cardinal

    John Paul II (+2005) caused another scandal when he created the Dominican Father Yves-Marie Congar (+1995) a cardinal. Congar had prepared this nomination by urinating twice (!) on the door of the Holy Office (CDF), in 1946 and 1954. Source of the story is journalist Robert Blair Kaiser (1931-2015) writing on his blog “Kaiser’s Vatican II Journal” in 2012."

    This actually cinched his Cardinal's hat in Wojtyla the Great's mind.  But the quoted Kaiser article just reports one incident, in the early 1960s.
